Configuring your x-lite softphone to use Voxalot

The X-Lite softphone can be easily configured to use Voxalot (free download at www.xten.com).

Setup Steps

1. Run the setup program and install X-Lite on your computer.

2. Start X-Lite.

3. The SIP accounts dialog should appear. Click the Add... button.

4. Configure the following fields:

  • Display Name: <your preferred display name>
  • Username: <your Voxalot number>
  • Password: <your Voxalot password>
  • Authorization User: <your Voxalot number>
  • Domain: voxalot.com
  • Send outbound via: Select the proxy radio button and enter:
  • Address: us.voxalot.com:5060

Note: Australian members should use au.voxalot.com:5060 and European members should use eu.voxalot.com:5060 for proxy address.

5. Click OK to complete the initial setup of your phone. The phone should now attempt to register with the Voxalot proxy.

To test your setup, simply call: *600 You should hear the Voxalot echo test announcement. If you don't, re-check the above settings. In the event that you are still having difficulties, please consult our Support Forum.

6. You are now ready to dial and receive calls.
