HowTo: 6 Steps To Optimize Your Audio

Here are six easy steps to performance tune your audio path using Voxalot:

1. On the Member Details page, set the Symmetric NAT Handling field to No
2. Dial *600 and confirm 2 way audio. You should also test an inbound call into Voxalot by using one of the SIP Broker Access Numbers or one of your DIDs.
3. On the Provider Details page, set the Optimize Audio Path to Yes
4. Also change the value in the Codecs field to match the Codecs defined in your ATA / Device
5. Make a couple of test calls using this provider and verify 2 way audio.
6. Repeat step 3 for your other providers.

Note: Results may vary depending on the provider you use. Some providers do not allow the renegotiation of the audio stream.
